Just this past month, NEGST was honored to have a visit from the Commission for Higher Education in Kenya. The CHE is the body that oversees private universities and grants government charters when all academic, physical and strategic goals have been met.
Vice Chancellor, Douglas Carew and his team of nine members met with the Commission to receive recommendations and respond with plans to implement the recommendations.
Professor Kiamba, leading the commission team, expressed his appreciation for the invitation and his delight at being at NEGST for the first time. He congratulated Dr. Carew on his appointment as VC and said the CHE was ready to work with NEGST in the charter process.
After a good day of meetings and inspection of many aspects of the campus, the CHE closed the day by urging NEGST to continue working hard and expressing their desire to work with us.
