Philosophy of Teaching
My approach to teaching books of the Bible emphasizes learning to read the text carefully as a first step in studying the Bible. In order to accomplish this task, I use a basic inductive approach rooted in a set of observations and questions regarding the text. The student's own work with the text itself then becomes the basis for further research.

Research Interests
Early Christian Identity Formation
Pauline Letters and Theology
